Janet Jackson showed her ass at the Louisiana Superdome last night. Literally.
The Grammy Award0winning pop singer/actress, who turned 44 last month, was the main attraction during the first night of the 2010 Essence Music Festival Presented by Coca-Cola in New Orleans.
Stepping on stage shortly before midnight, Jackson looked sensational in a form-fitting, futuristic getup (fishnets included) – leaving much to the imagination of a very rapturous audience.
Adorning her new, freshly cropped haircut (very different from the one she's wearing on the cover of Essence magazine's August edition), Jackson was in top form as she performed what seemed like an endless stream of her hit catalog -- everything from 'Nasty,' 'All For You,' 'If' and 'Love Will Never Do Without You' to material only die-hard fans could recognize.The sexy siren delivered. She even took the sold-out audience back to 1982 with selections from her pre-'Control' era.

hmmm i'm not surprised that right after the Flop of her last album her far more successful brother mysteriously dies and she of course poses as oh so hurt and mourning while really she's been planning to rise back to stardom by standing on her brother's ashes.

ms. girl, where have you been for the last twenty-four years? janet does not have to ride on michael's anything. ms. girl has made it for herself on her own terms. since you've failed to take notice... the controversy behind the '04' sb incident, they tried sabotaging janet's career since she refused to apologize. why should she? as for her last album (discipline)... it wasn't a flop; it sold well, the record label sabotaging her as well by choosing not to promote the project & tried fu**in' her in the process... janet's paid her dues and have proven herself. and she surely doesn't need to consult you for an opinion. good day!

Girl you hit it right on the head. Why do these people think she can sing. She is trying to make money on micheals death just like the rest of the family. snifffff..ohh, right, I knew I smelled something funky....and it's Cookie's attitude. Nobody's saying Janet sings like Jennifer Hudson, Janet is a phenomenal PERFORMER, always was, and nobody said you have to like her show.
