Talk show host David Letterman's business is out in the streets since he confessed to having sex with female employees, but what about the multitude of ordinary Americans who creep with their coworkers? Is it ever okay to get intimate with someone at the office? This was one of the issues that the editorial staff of Black Voices debated in our first ever BV Freestyle video podcast. We also tackled how many people in Hollywood are defending director Roman Polanski, who was arrested after 32 years on the lam to avoid prison time for having sex with a 13-year-old girl. We can't be the only ones who drew parallels between the Polanski case and the way R. Kelly was treated by the media and fans during his own child-sex-abuse trial. Finally, we asked ourselves whether movie mogul Tyler Perry can pull off the film version of 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf.'

My comment concerns the alleged R. Kelly incident. I feel that black people can be their own worse enemy. R. Kelly was found not guilty in a court of law and it should end at that point. I have been working in the criminal justice system for the pass 24 years and have seen lots of things happen both good and bad and I refuse to pass judgement on anyone. I have never watched the video in question because if it was indeed an minor in that video the viewer (unless they are law enforcement or in a court of law) is guilty of watching child pornography. I don't know if R. Kelly is guilty of having sex with a minor or not. However, what I do know for sure is that a jury of his peers were presented with all the evidence against him and found him not guilty. We can go on passing judgement on this man and talking like we were in the bed room when this alleged incident took place however, we were not. You can say that I have seen the video and I know for sure it was him in it but, you know not. Please let our heavenly Father be the judge. Remember "judge ye not less ye be judged" lastly, to the hypocrite out ther who condemn the loudest, "he who is without sin let him cast the first stone" If R. Kelly is guilty at this point man has spoken now it between him and God.

So what are you, R. Kelly's cheerleader or his newest golden shower volunteer? Sounds more like yr his advocate. Please, the man got away with murder because his fans played "The Emperor's New Clothes" and turned a blind eye. Saying you wouldn't watch the video is denial if you think it might be child porn when there's a chance you might see what you really don't wanna see. Your hero involved in 'water sports". You're telling me all of a sudden justice is being served because Kelly got off? Well, im gonna judge him because I know The Pied Piper's only gotten off to do it again to some other little young tenderoni. True justice should be reserved for innocent black men who get railroaded and "wrongly" accused of crimes.
