While publications like The New Yorker have been trying to capture Barack Obama's campaign visually--even if in the most grotesque ways--Amistad, an imprint of HarperCollins, recently announced that it will be publishing the ultimate photographic collection that documents this incredible moment.
Obama: The Historic Campaign in Photos is slated to drop right before the November election and will illustrate his campaign from its start until now, through more than 150 color and b&w photos, reports Publishers Weekly. The photo collection will be curated by NYU professor Deb Willis who works in the university's Tisch School of the Arts Photography and Imaging. Washington Post journalist Kevin Merida will pen the book's introduction.
For all of those who have been collecting Obama magazine covers, pictures, and other memorabilia, this sounds like a must-have.

You anglophiles better get them while they are hot. Barack Obama is the crowning achievement of the mulatto movement which started with the ultimate mulatto, W.E.B.Dubois, and his "talent tenth" crap. Don't trust the mulattoes, they have always been traders and never has been committed to Black power; they are the elite among Blacks and has always been intergrationist. Finish with Barack Obama after he threw Rev. Wright and The Honorable Min. Louis Farrakhan under the bus to satisfy his handlers, the Jewish community. Many Blacks claimed (not me) that Bill Clinton was the first Black president, well Barack Obama will be the first Jewish president. Follow the money Black folks. Blacks will increase the speed in which we "Brazilian" our Blackness away in order to have the next "Barack Obama". If Barack Obama looked like Samuel L. Jackson he wouldn't get this type of support, not even from the Black community because we are color struck. Congratulat-
ion Black folks the eugenics you have been involved in since slavery has come to power. Hate to see us compromise our uniqueness so easily.

It sounds like you too are color struck. Does the DNA that your parents passed on to you determine what is in your heart? Let's try and stay focused, Democratic or Republican.

Sounds like someone has an inferiority complex against light skin blacks.
Your envy is showing...

APOLOGIZE, THEN GO AWAY
Pictures in a photo lay out are not going to do it. Apologize for slyly telling the world that you think that I am inferior to your degree of whiteness Senator obama, and I might let you call yourself a Black man. Claiming the presidency of The United States by one who so callously tossed his hated half self to the wolves is out sir. The New Yorker spanked your ass good! The same as reverend Jackson did.
If you want to see some pictures I’ll tell you where you can find some pictures. Look up a documentary called "Blood Diamonds" it will open your eyes to some alarming things about the mental path barack obama has taken to America. And if you accept his zero tolerance of very Black men. Then you will rightly inherit the bodies on the streets in The Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Ghana and some other African countries. Somebody needs to claim them. This is where the government’s primary way of dealing with the dissident voter, the very Black man, is to lop off the hands......So they can't vote.
Those are our extended family lying dead in the streets in those scenes from hell. Bodies piled up near the curb in communities where the most important business is the free flow of the murderous military traffic. Burying the dead to keep them from becoming the carrion of the bold calmly feeding vultures is secondary. And the vultures feast upon the souls of a nation or nations who believe that there is not much cost associated with the death of a Black man. There is a higher cost associated with his disobedience!!!
The disemboweled, decapitated children, women and Black fathers who accepted the murderous heavy hand from one of their own. They did not live past regret as they languish in death above ground. This could be and would be avoided if they were but white. Instead this nation who has commandeered a large percentage of the worlds wealth looks to the higher priority of protecting that wealth in Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan.
These monuments to man’s inhumanity to man was perpetrated by Black leaders against their own people. These are not even cross border wars but civil wars where being able to sell the nation’s riches to outside interests to pay for more weapons to kill more citizens is more important than the lives, dignity and history of the people they were supposed to be leading. Senator obama’s thinking floats too close to that of the leaders in the land of his father.
We Black Americans who in a healthier state could extend a lifeline of hope and regard for our brothers in Africa, are busy tussling with the possibility that our four hundred year plight in this land could astoundingly be used against us by one of our own…..Or is he?
I’ve seen your attitude somewhere before Senator, and I sure as hell do not want to see it in one who would be my Commander in Chief.

They would have a hissy fit, if McCain was characterized as a POW turncoat, enemy sympathizer, flag burning, blue turbine wearing, dashiki wearing, beer drinking (Bud) alcoholic with a anger management problem and one hand on the button of this countries nuclear arsenal, YOU THINK? But we ALL will know, that's it's just a joke, right?

The New Yorker is smut, working for the benefit of the Republicons. Just more Republicon-style dirty politics.

BO is no more a black man than is his white grandmother. She raised him,yet he denyes her, because he claims to be a black man.It takes two blacks to make a black. It takes two whites to make a white.
How stupid does he think we are?He says he has a white mother, yet he says he is a black man.If a black cat and a white cat had kittens and they're partly black and partly white.MY! as smart as Harvard gradate are, they know the kittens are black

"Let" a black man be a black man? Being a black man, I can say that is not something anyone but GOD HIMSELF let occur. Skin color is not an identifier of the heart's condition. Centuries ago, African kings "sold out" other blacks to slave traders. Skin color had less to do with it that political and economic influences - and, yes, conditions of hearts.
As the next President of the United States, Obama will have as his responsibility representing persons of a wide variety of skin colors. Rather than trying to create further divisions between Blacks who are ALL Americans, it might be better to pray he does a good job as president - commander-in-chief. Otherwise, as a black man, you might find yourself invaded by other countries who will care little about your skin color. To them, even if not to yourself, you would be categorized as just another hated American. Amen.
