GREAT news for the gals who live for gloss.
Yup, for those who love to shine, lip gloss is the perfect compliment to full, beautiful lips.
Illusions Cosmetics has launched a new collection of lip glosses for the new year.
And get this -- they're named after some of our favorite film classics in colors like 'Mahogany,' (starring Diana Ross) 'Sparkle' (Irene Cara & Lonette McKee) 'Brown Sugar' (Sanaa Lathan) 'Dream Girls' (Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce) and 'Carmen,' which refers to the classic movie, 'Carmen Jones' starring Dorothy Dandridge.
This spring, 'Honey' will hit the masses.

Co-founded by twin sisters, Janice and Denise Tunnell, renown celebrity make-up artists, Illusions was relaunched in 2007 to address the cosmetic needs of women of color as well as those who appreciate bright colors that POP.
The Illusions line for eyes, face and lips features foundations, powders, blush, eye shadows, eye and lip liners, lipsticks, make-up brushes and men's grooming products.
Illusions is all the buzz in Hollywood and worn by the Hollywood bold and beautiful including Vivica A. Fox, Elise Neal, Meagan Good and Tasha Smith.
"Our consumers just can't seem to get enough of the lip glosses," says Janice Tunnell. "They are our best-selling product and we wanted to introduce something fun, cool and special for 2008.
"As African-American women, my sister and I love the movies that the new lip glosses are named after, and we know our target demographic, women of color ages 18 to 55, enjoy them just as much as we do."
The new line of lip glosses retail for $10 each and are available at select salons, boutiques and the Illusions Cosmetics website: www.illusionsbeauty.com.

Oh dear! Why not a session on proper grammar, spelling and compassion? I am truly hoping that this line of cosmetics are complimentary to our varied shades of brown skin. My skin, however brown, has yellow under tones. The makeup today is unbecoming as I often appear clownish. Make up should look natural and wholesome looking. Where do I fine this line? I will try anything!

What a great idea and honor to women of color. As far as choosing what movie is my favorite, they all were excellent movies. But if I absolutely must pick one,it would be Mohagany. Mohagany had a good message: "Success is nothing without someone to share it with."

I think Shakeya's right. Movies have been using younger faces such as akeelah and the bee but in terms of that whole new face talent they don't really do that type of pick up talent off the streets thing as often. Most young actors have played smaller roles as young children on other shows. However, in the movie Great Debators, with Denzel, the lead boy who plays the son of Forrest Whitaker, he was a new face talent. He tried out with alot of more experience and more famous young actors, but they just gave him a chance. They did do that alot more in the 90's for some reason, but they are trying..minutely. Good point tho...definetely no reason to KILL URSELF as d said. That was really violent and uneeded. Everyone is intitled to their own opinion. Not everyone will alway agree with your ideas d.
