Well, let me rethink that. In 2007, I did start blogging for More than Words (it will be a year in 2008!) and it's been
a heck of a year, thanks to to all the committed BV readers. I learned a lot.I also released my first full-length book, THE MESSAGE, and have embarked on the crazy journey of authors. I have a deeper insight into how the publishing game works and a renewed appreciation for our writers, who need our support now more than ever. Writing is an incredibly difficult task, but releasing a book can be equally difficult between promotion, publishing challenges, and the emotional process of putting yourself out there.
But for some strange reason, I think 2008 is going to be a phenomenal year. We'll continue to talk about books and the issues that they raise, all the while promoting the importance of reading.
So with that said, this is the last More Than Words post for 2007. I'll return in 2008 with renewed energy to charge forward and bring you the book news that I hope you'll continue to enjoy.
In the meantime, for those of you who want to get a jumpstart on those New Year's Resolutions and shaping the new you, check out NO MORE DRAMA: 9 SIMPLE STEPS TO TRANSFORMING A BREAKDOWN INTO A BREAKTHROUGH by Sil Lai Abrams.
Abrams, a former model, turned successful event planner, wants you to "stop surviving and start living." She developed the Self Empowerment Principles in Action process (Sepia for short) which she considers to be a new way of thinking that will enable you to stop surviving from crisis to crisis and start living a drama-free and purpose-driven life.
What I really like about Abrams' authorial debut is that she launched a new publishing company, Sepia Press, to release it. That's a breakthrough that I can definitely get with.
So BVers, until 2008, happy holidays, bring in the New Year right, and continue to be the best you.
Oh, and read something!

BE HONEST, AND KEEP IT REAL. REMEMBER, IT BEGINS WITH YOU. NOBODY CAN DO ANYMORE TO YOU THAN WHAT YOU ALLOW.

Felicia I love your book blog but there are so many great authors you need to cover in 2008. After reading their books in 2007 I'm a fan of the following writers. They deserve a shout out.
Trisha R. Thomas Nappily Married
Sheila Williams Girls Most Likely
Lori Bryant-Woolridge Weapons of Mass Seduction
Selena Montgomery Secrets and Lies
Good writing for sure.
