According to the New York Post, "Celebrity appearances are an advertising staple, with one survey last year suggesting as much as 20 percent of all ads feature a TV, film or sports star." This was a stellar year for black celebrities who created, endorsed, and cashed out on brands ranging from champagne to satellite TV, (speaking specifically of Jay-Z and Beyonce respectively). More often than ever, huge black stars are getting involved in the design and production of products, interweaving their tremendous powers of personality with the products they are promoting.
BlackVoices.com now brings you the Top 11 Celebrity Endorsers of 2007, based on a calculation of estimated income, creative control and input, number of deals per star, and of course, pure cash earned by the black celebrity. Did your favorite black entertainer, personality or sports star come out on top?

to be honest with u, i am very dissappointed wit6h these so-called stars, and there publicizing their gifts to get fat rich and then don't even give back to the community.....maybe to the community of their choice, but, what of us who also truly needs them.how do we tap into your wealth for help. THATS RIGHT ,HELP!!!

There is no such thing as race in the future. The only color peeps are seeing now is green ! I am not rich and if (& when) I do become so, I will support whatever cause touches my heart. I won't want to be endorsing a product or company that I otherwise would not care about for more money or fame. The business in all feilds is full of pimps and hoes ! Get that money no matter what I guess...

you know. i am all for making money and doing it the right way. however, has anyone noticed that beyonce never endorces any "black" owned companies. she has about ten endorsements out and all are white companies. I don't believe that she should only endorse blacks, that is not what i am saying. but at least one. and if you endorse so many products which one do you really believe in. when there is a cause that you really believe in how are we suppose to take you seriously. when we see you endorsing anyone that can cut you a check. it's not like she is anywhere near broke or close to it. so why can't she endorse a black company even if they can't pay as much. just one is all i am asking and i am not speaking of her mom's clothing design line. i am speaking of a product like "carol's daughter" like jada pinkett and mary j endorses. they have other endorsements that are not black owned but they did make it a point to endorse at least one. i just don't like that about her. get your money but give back. give something back. don't just write a check to clear your conscience. let me see you in the trenches giving back not looking for the photo op and getting all of the white companies money.
