Toccara is doing her thing, but, I absolutley loothe her BET show. There's no challenge to make folks think and win money. It almost suggests black folk can't do no better intellectually. Step and fetch-it bamboozling, in my opinion.

I think that Toccara is a big, beautiful Black woman BUT she must "pick and choose" her battles. That BET "...Cake" show is at the bottom as far as class goes. I hate how she acts on this show like some "sex kitten" speaking in that non-understandable little girl dialect. That doesn't cut it, Toccara. If you want to be perceived as a grown woman than you must become a grown woman--not only in stature but in grace, class, speech, demeanor, etc. You didn't win ANTM but that shouldn't deter you from doing your thing and doing it proudly and with class and style. Regroup and come back strong. The world awaits you...

LEAVE THE GIRL ALONE - damn! the show "take the cake" is not as bad as you people are trying to make it seem. IT'S A JOB, IT GIVES A PAYCHECK, AND SHES CONSTANTLY ON TV IN THE EYES OF THE PUBLIC... unlike you people hating on her, and what shes been doing. You seem to forget that i've seen her face popping up in more magazines and tv shows and fashin shows, etc. than Eva or for that matter any other ANTM model. so..... u tell me, who's REALLY doing their thing better than Tocarra?

I'm glad homegirl is working, but I hope this is just a print/ad job and has NOTHING to do with her speaking, because that would be a travesty. She tries waaaay too hard to be coy and kittenish, and it just doesn't work.

Like someone else said plus-sized woman have already been spotted lighted, i.e. Queen Latifah,MoniQue and though the light isn't as bright as it is for the smaller chicks, it still shines.
I'm glad Rocawear has chosen her to "represent" a slightly larger prospective..to me this is a paycheck worth getting. Unlike one of the other bloggers, I feel we shouldn't jump on a job just because it pays, we should pick and choose jobs that don't demeanor or force us to alter who we are.. "Take the Cake" is a waste,check or no check -if I can't put my best foot forward and show who I am, who I want to be ,then screw it,she doesn't look as though she is hurting for money - honestly does she really want to put that crap on her resume?? I'd think not.

Good for Tocarra. However, I don't understand one of Ciara's poses in the ad - the booty thing. It looks awkward and I hate to say it, "tacky." I am very happy for both of these lovely ladies, but I hope that eventually we will move away from the "video vixen" image and start to have more classic representation. I think that recently Aleisha Keyes knows what she is doing-a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
