Now if you read the blog on a regular basis, you were warned that Richard T. Jones, who plays Aaron on the show, was leaving The CW show for another project.

We were wondering how producer Mara Brock Akil would handle his departure from the show - - and it looks like she took the military route.
This leaves Akil with a couple of options for Aaron's character later on in the season.
There is always a chance that Jones could come back for a cameo appearance on the show ...
...or as what happens often time in war, people die.
As in bang-bang to Aaron completely as he takes a stray bullet somewhere in the middle of Iraq?
Thoughts?

I think that producer Mara Brock Akil need to write ion a guy and 2 weeks later, joan gets married. I am tired of Joan thinking that she has found luv and it goes down the drain.

Girlfriend's needs to do a spinoff movie staring the Joan character in "How To Lose A Black Man in 2 Days". She pushed ALOT of buttons-that I think would have ultimately proved fatale -even if Aaron did not get deployed.
The writers really are making her a cautionary tale-that mirror so many young black professional women including yours truly.

Joan does not need to be married. She is waaay too controlling, and obssesive compulsive. It would only be a matter of time before ANY man that marries her would be outta there and heading to divorce court. Besides, I get a kick out of her chasing them all away.

The show is just "tired." Richard T. Jones needs to find employment elsewhere. How many times are we supposed to go throw the mess that is Joan. Take my advice watch two and a half men.

WE WANT TONI! Bring back our girl! Don't you get it, the show is lame now because she's absent.
Freak whoever Joan is with, it takes Toni to remind Joan,'Girl, you ain't never gona find nobody to put up with yo crazy ass' to say what we all are thinking.

Joan was totally AWEFUL on the show this week!!! What kind of example are we showing our women (young and old) how to treat a man?? I wanted to reach through the tv and smack her!!! Why are the writers of the show continue to beat up men (good men) where Joan is concerned?? It was very disappointing to watch.

I was truly disappointed in the Girlfriends episode. Although it has not been easy I have been a loyal fan of this show and it seems to me the writers are determined to keep Joan in the same boring place, season after season. In a show that has had this long of a run the characters should grow and evolve but it seems like the same old same old. I'm done. http://www.rebuildcreditscores.com

I've followed the show since the beginning pretty much through re-runs. I don't want to watch it but I can't help tuning in to see the over-the-top exchanges between these women. I really don't know anyone who acts like that, calling eachother b1tches and what not.
Maya telling her boss Joan that she must go get her hair and nails done on company time...Lynn loafin tthrough life...All of them uusing Joan and Joan allowing herself to be used. I just don't get down like that with my girlfriends, especially that "b!tch thing. Maybe thats how Mara Brock Akil and her friends carry on.
