We are coming to a close for New York City Fashion Week for Spring 2008. I want to take this time to big up the amazing black designer Tracy Reese (here with fan Tyra Banks)...And the incredible (relatively new) clothing line Ports 1961, which out of all the shows, used mostly black models and built their entire collection around an African theme:

I love both Tyra and Kimora. I think with the shows that they are doing a lot of it is scripted. They both seem to be down to earth....sistahs in the hood. Kimora likes what she likes and she's running a business and she has to have people do things to make it run smoothly. I'm sure a lot of what she does on camera is for the audience....making it interesting for us. Would you watch a show like that if the star was saying "oh thank you so much, oh don't worry if you can't get the right models for the right dress, we just won't show that pair of shoes if no one can wear them" Come on....get real. These are suppose to be reality shows, but believe me that have more than one take and they do holla CUT!

I LIKE TYRA BANKS VERY MUCH AND I WISH HER MUCH SUCESS WITH HER TALK SHOW AND HER AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL. I THINK SOMETIMES SHE IS GEERED MORE TO A YOUNGER AUDIENCE AND I WISH SHE WOULD HAVE A VARIETY OF GUEST WITH ALL AGES. AS FOR KOMORA SHE IS A VERY SUCCESSFUL MODEL AND BUSINESS MOGUL BUT I WISH SHE WOULD HAVE AN AFFORDABLE LINE OF CHILDRENS CLOTHING, MOST PARENTS ARE WORKING OR POOR MIDDLE CLASS AND THEY CAN NOT AFFORD $50.00 FOR A PAIR OF JEANS AND $30.00 FOR A TOP. THEY ARE NOT PRICES FOR THE AVERAGE INDIVUAL.HER LINE IS GREAT THE CLOTHES ARE HOT BUT HER PRICES ARE EXTREME
