'Today' Co-Hosts Announced For Fourth Hour

Comments (9)

Remember the good ol' days when there was just two hours of 'The Today Show' on NBC?

Just eight years ago, you could tune in between 7AM-9AM, get your dose of (at the time) Matt, Katie, Al and Ann, and go on with your day.
Those days are long gone, as NBC officially announced this week the anchors that will be holding down the fourth hour of 'The Today Show' starting on Sept. 10.

Ann Curry, Natalie Morales and Hoda Kotb are the trio of minority ladies that will be hosting the fourth hour of 'Today.'

Kotb, who out of the three is new to the 'Today Show' family, has been a 'Dateline NBC' correspondent since 1998 and has hosted a weekly syndicated series called 'Your Total Health' since 2004 for NBC.

Also making cameos during the fourth hour will be David Gregory, Giada De Laurentis, and Tiki Barber.

However, you won't see Matt Lauer or Meredith Vieira on the fourth hour of the show.

Because of the fourth hour, NBC canceled the popular soap opera 'Passions' which is moving exclusively to DirecTV.

Kudos to NBC for going with three minority women - it really will go a long way I think in diversity on daytime television.
