Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy has had an amazing year. It's only been six months since he made history as the first black coach to win the Super Bowl with his team. And now, according to the Associated Press, his memoir QUIET STRENGTH: THE PRINCIPLES, PRACTICES, AND PRIORITIES OF A WINNING LIFE will claim the top spot on the New York Times' bestseller list this Sunday for the nonfiction hardcover category. This marks another first for Dungy: apparently this is the first NFL-related book to reach No. 1 on the list. QUIET STRENGTH (co-written with Nathan Whitaker) was released in July by Christian publisher Tyndale House and follows the coach's life from his upbringing to the harder events in his life like the tragic death of his son. Dungy also reveals the secrets to his success and aims to provide motivation for anyone to live a winning life. Mr. Denzel "The Man" Washington wrote the book's foreword.
Dungy told the Associated Press that he intends to donate most of the book's proceeds to charity.

I plan to buy this book for my sons. I hope that you expressed how important it is to do the right thing, believe in yourself, and a higher God. Sometime people think that making it to the top means stepping over as many people as possible. It's nice to know that there are many Blacks who think otherwise. And the rewards are greater.

I am proud of Mr Dungy , It's a great feeling to see a man , not just a black man keep his standards and project them even in a sport that projects the win at all cost mentality . To God be the glory , we do not have to do as the Romans do . I will purchase the book . We are in the world but not of the world .
