Sidekick extraordinaire Robin Quivers is dropping the pounds again. (She did the lemonade diet a few years ago and actually became very ill, though thin). But now she's jumped on the celeb diet bandwagon with '21 Pounds in 21 Days: The Martha's Vineyard Diet Detox.' So far so good.
At 54 she's looking her very best. Her face is thinner, skin is glowing and she's full of energy... it's been reported that this is the same diet Jessica Simpson recently used to shed her post-breakup weight.
Here's the catch ... since it's a detox diet, there's no food. You drink your diet. The diet also includes colonics (which I have a problem with). But it is rich in veggies and fruits and 21lbs in 21 days ain't bad. Perhaps after her transformation, Robin will really be ready to get in front of the camera!

I saw Robin Q recently speaking about her recent detox on Larry King. I have ordered the book, which will arrive today, and plan to start the detox in the very near future.

What about eating less and exercising more? With this detox diet, she'll lose muscle tone (something she needs to maintain at her age), and when (not if) she eats normally, she'll put on more fat.
For those of us in the real world, it's not about being bone thin; it's about being healthy and strong and within a healthy weight range. The starving, drugs, and angst over fighting nature is a battle I choose not to fight. There are other battles that are much more important in life.

I'd prefer that she keep those extra pounds. Just make sure to have a good nutritious diet and some semi weekly exercises going on, and that should be enough. Don't worry too much about what that body is looking like. Be patient your shape will appear on it's own.

Fat is not healthy but I don't believe crash diets and detox diets are the way to lose the weight. It usually takes years to put on the pounds so it will take maybe years to take it off. Watching what you eat and exercise is what I recommend. Will power and control! You can't lose weight like going through a drive through service. I work with people that did the bypass surgery and let me tell you, that had many problems too. First find out why are you eating so much, is it because you are depress, lonely, upset or just like food.

www.nexagenusa.com/leecoleman for the Fat Loss Power Patch
I have always believed in detoxing for optimum health and everyone should do it at least twice a year. I don't know about the 21-day part. I am using the Fat Loss Power Patch and it is working for me! I am in school full-time plus work so I haven't been able to workout or eat exactly like I should. It cuts cravings and gives you energy. If you're interested, check out www.nexagenusa.com/leecoleman. I don't have health problems associated with my weight but several people that I know have been able to go from the insulin shot to oral medication and come off of high blood pressure medication. The ingredients are all natural and can be used if you have high blood pressure which my husband has high blood pressure and we haven't found a diet pill that will allow you to use it if you do. Check it out!

I dont like the idea of this diet. The only key to long term weight loss is proper nutrition and some exercise.... its no way of getting around it! Remember dont diet! Just make sensible choices!
