"Let me just put this in perspective: If HIV-AIDS were the leading cause of death of white women between the ages of 25 and 34 there would be an outraged outcry in this country."
-- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton at the third primary debate between Democratic presidential candidates held at Howard University in Washington, DC, June 28, 2007.
Other Democratic hopeful, Sen. Joe Biden urged people to be tested for the AIDS virus, noting that he and Barack Obama had done so.
Cracked Obama: "I just want to make clear I got tested with Michelle," his wife, he said drawing laughter from the predominantly black audience. (Source)

The statitics are incorrect. Give me some solid proof about the HIV. So far, the finger been pointed at Blacks. And I know that is a lie, unless they are including the Black in south Africa.

Let's talk about AIDS and keep it real. There's no outrage because AIDS isn't as threatening as it once was. AIDS is now becoming more of an opportunity to make money and discriminate than a public health crisis. In America, HIV doesn't generate the fear or respect of the population. We look at the people with AIDS as if they did something wrong or due to their behavior, they deserve it. Hillary's comments about White women is partially correct because we'd wonder what were these women doing to deserve AIDS. We don't care what Black women are doing to deserve AIDS because some don't value them all all. Hollywood is trying to identify those with AIDS and those who test negative to determine who can be devalued. AIDS is none of our business. It cannot be used to discriminate or devalue anyone regardless of color. It cannot be used as an opportunity to make money from someone's pain. AIDS is a crisis being handled the wrong way. Discrimination is never the answer. A virus doesn't care about your race, your job, or if you can afford health care. The problem is most of us just don't care if you live or die. All we care about is not catching it by forced testing. It won't work if you don't care who you have sex with for business or pleasure.

hilary is right. let some pretty, high profile, white lady come out and say that she has AIDS and next thing you know, the health care she needs to survive would be there. also, ppl would be coming out of the woodwork to try to help, "those like her." it's fucking twisted man!
