Yes, 'Dances From Tha Hood.'

Think 'Soul Train' for today's hip-hop generation but the show teaches you step-by-step on how to do the latest dances.
Hosted by dancer/choreographer Tweetie, the South Bronx native might be best known for her an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show in mid-April (More on Oprah as a dancer tomorrow in an exclusive interview with Tweetie).
Tweetie (nee Lenaya Straker) was Oprah and Gayle's hip-hop dance instructor on the show.
The first episode, which is shot in a basement environment (think the 'Get Busy' video by Sean Paul), introduced three hot dances - - none of which I can do.
The 'Aunt Jackie' (Aunt who?), the 'Lip Gloss' (Lil' Mama is a cutie) and the 'Toe Wop,' which Chris Brown made popular in 'Gimme That.'
The show is very ... loud. Tweetie is very high-energy and after five minutes, I had to turn the volume down just a tad.
But if you are into the whole dance scene and have two left feet like myself, this is the show for you.

I think the show is a great idea for young people who love to dance to learn the social dances of today and know their history. These social dances that the kids do are nothing but the same dances we used to do back in the 90's. you people need to stop hating on Tweety. I have taken a class from her at the Alvin Ailey dance school back in July and she is a great instructor, she is real, she is down to earth, and she is a woman doing big things in the industry. She let's her students know the ins and outs of making it in the industry and how to make it during a dance audition. She sets a very relaxed atmosphere and makes it easy to learn. Her personality makes her classes more worth while because she lets you know that she is human just like us. So for those of you who think the show makes no sense and she needs to sit down, the answer is simple...don't watch the show. Most of you keep watching it just to have something to complain about while giving the show the ratings it needs to stay in circulation. So keep hating and keep watching if the show is that much of a disappointment. You keep doing your thing Tweetie.

I was flipping through the channels and I did happen to see the show. . .she also lost her earring during the show and replaced it with a mismatch. She's VERY energetic. I never heard of the "Aunt Jackie" either. . .I wonder whose Aunt that is.

I'm sorry but this show is not cute to me and i am thoroughly disgusted by this concept.I mean teaching a dance is one thing, but the name...Why couldnt it just be "Hip Hop... The dances" or something? She is waaay too loud and her destroying the english language isnt something that i can sit back and just laugh at as 18 yr old african american lady. ( what the hell is a "oneses"??)
And i really REALLY dont appreciate that her back up dancers used Kool-Aid packages for earrings.
This is not humorous
I KNOW IT CANT JUST BE ME!!

I was not impressed by the show at all. She to dramatic with the dances and her voice is just annoying. I personally didnt like the show, I watched thinking that it would get better but it didnt, me and my friends just laughed at how ridiculous it was. I hope that it was just a one day thing and is not a reoccuring show.

I wasnt impressed by the show at all. It was just strange, her voice is annoying she is way to dramatic for me. I did see her on Oprah and I thought the exact same way then. I watched to show thinking that it would get better but it didnt. Me and my friend just laughed at how ridiculous it was. I hope that show was just a one day thing and not a reoccuring show. Cause I would hate for it to take up MTVs time!!

When I turned to the channel and saw the show I just knew it was a joke. I was looking for Nick Cannon or someone. The show is terrible. I was so ashamed and disgusted. I can't wait for this show to be cancelled.
