Black Enterprise magazine debuted a new half-hour syndicated show about the black movers and shakers in the business world last week. The Black Enterprise Business Report stars former CBS News anchor Shon Gables, (who in 2005 sued her ex-husband and former Color Me Badd singer Bryan Abrams for 16 grand in back child support), and will air weekly. (check blackenterprise.com for times and channels in your area).
The show is supposed to feature black entrepreneurs and executives and have segments on wealth building and living a "luxe life".

It pleases me to see that a woman was chosen for this position, and I believe viewers will appreciate it as well. I believe that Black Enterprises had a show like this featured on PBS or another station in the past, but I hope this time it sticks because we need to see and hear about African Americans who are making real moves in the business world. Even more than that we need to indulge in something that will help to educate or make us aware of ways to improve our financial situation. Thanks KR for this one.

What makes a show a success on CBS? I don't know and obviously they don't know either since they haven't had a hit in years. They should have just called this show "Obamarama". Successful Blacks have information that should be shared with the race, but focusing in on their success ends the conversation before it ever begins. Jealousy is a barrier to communication that works in both directions. In the pursiut of happiness, Will's character was given a break because he had a kid. What type of woman leaves her kid on the street with a struggling father? Do that story without the kid and you'll see John Edward's "Two Americas". Black Enterprise needs to focus on reality. The first rule of communication is "You've got to reach them to teach them!" Criticism turns us off before we ever hear a word. CBS could mean "Cosby BS".
