If you're like me and watch those reality shows where people buy beat down houses, fix them up and sell them for a profit, then you've probably seen Sam Leccima's face before. He was on the A&E channel's Flip this House, one of the only black faces they showed, running a company that looked like it was doin' it real big in the ATL, making a ton of money flipping properties. But if the latest news about him is right, the only thing Leccima was flipping was cash he got from his friend and investors, and he was flipping it straight into his own bank account. An Atlanta TV station broke the story and the Associated Press ran a piece on the alleged hoax.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm a big fan of the show and was a really big fan of the Leccima's. They were the first ones I saw on the show and then I was hooked. I was hoping that they would come back this season, even though the Montelongo's are my new favorites. Does that mean Angie and her team are also being called into question? She worked with the Leccima's as the realtor before she started flipping herself.

It is just so sad to see. I mean I really liked him as I like to see any of our brothers and sisters 'doing it for themselves'... this really broke my heart.
Now, I question the rest of the flipper's integrity. Did A&E have any knowledge of Sam's deceptions? If they did, did they ignore it to boost ratings? There are so many questions that are just unanswered.
I even questioned the person who apparently broke the story (FOX ATLANTA has a blog... it's very interesting). I want to know, what 'red flags' if any did he see, and he never did get straight the to point.
I wonder if he is 'pursuing' the Montelongos as much as he did Sam.
