If you ever plan on committing a murder, make sure you live next door to Cam'ron. He won't snitch on you to the cops.
Cam'ron was on '60 Minutes' Sunday night and talked to Anderson Cooper about the whole "stop snitching" phenomenon that has become popular with my generation and younger.
After watching this segment, I was left pretty much speechless on what to say about Cam'ron's thoughts on snitching.
Yes, the cops (knockos, pigs, 5-0, etc...) are "the man" and the "enemy" and I'm not a fan of them as much as the next person...
But you have to draw the line somewhere, don't you?
Their job, poorly done or not, is to protect and serve.
And if I see someone commit a murder, I don't understand how me or anyone else not saying anything makes things better for the rest of the community?
Even Jay-Z touched on the point on his latest album in the song '30 Something'
I'm from the era where n!%%@$ don't snitch
You from the era where snitchin' is the shit
CBS couldn't have ran this segment like three weeks ago before this whole Imus/Hip-Hop situation took place?
It's just another black eye for rappers and the hip-hop community at the worse possible time.
Jason Whitlock wrote about Cam'ron in this column over at AOL Sports. I know just how much you guys LOVE Whitlock so I posted the link for you here.
Editor's Note: So it looks like Cam'ron has indeed helped out the police before. Check out The Smoking Gun.

I watched 60 mins. and was horrified. What is happening in our community? What are people thinking? I find it hard to believe that people would actually watch a person killed and have no responsibility to help catch a killer. What if it's your mother? Your sister? Brother? Father? Would they still feel the same way? I doubt it. That segment of 60 mins. put another spot on the character of African American people. When people watch that, they think all black people do the same thing, act in the same ignorant manner and speak in the same ignorant voice. People need to just stop buying Busta Rhymes and Cam Rons music. This was just a sad commentary of some young people with no direction. Watching 60 mins; however shows why education is very important in our community. People who value themselves value others.

IF YOU THINK THIS CLOWISH COONING SAMBO CAMERON WAS BAD,WHAT DO YOU THINK HIS PARENTS MUST BE LIKE? Being and older adult,I know its not him so much as the older fools my age,who never taught him any thing but this mindless street bullshit. What we are witnessing is the results of two generations raising themselves. The Stupdog eat dogs of the world's parents I would bet are just as pimp'ho orientated as this foul fool keeps proving to be.
let's face it Cameron is just another ex of just how insane and death driven so many of our people have become.

After watching 60 minutes interview with cam'ron(I choose not to capitalize his name due to the fact that he is not inhumane) I was livid and hurt by his lack of compassion for any individual whom might become a victim. It is time to put aside that street-mentality which is keeping a lot of my people foolish. Whatever happened to doing the right thing. We live in a world where "It takes a village to raise a child." Crime is rampant and how does being a criminal defines glorification? It is so sad to think that a dollar matters more. cam'ron should be ashamed as an African-American I was ashamed your his selfish remarks. It is not about being a snitch, it is about doing what's right. Yes, there are bad cops as well as good ones who are trying to do their job, what's wrong with keeping our community safe. And if we can help why not! It is stupid to think that all cops are our enemies! So, cam'ron, If a pedophile grabs a young female or male of your family, rapes and sodomizes him or her and you knew the perpetrator, you wouldn't tell the cops; you wouldn't want justice? There's nothing wrong with making money, why let it define who you are!?

The reason we are call each other whores,is because thats what this fuked up country has turned all of us into. Ameriikka has fuked us every way possible and like a badly sexually abuse child,we start to think its nature and ok. Most of you will never admit this to yourselves, cuz it means your parents and grandparents are whores to. Yes I'm of Afrikan decsent to don't try and run some game about me being a crakcer. The R Kelly's and Wendy's are just the outward manifestions of our collective sickness.

So how many of you will begin to honestly look at the state we as a people are in? Or will it take another old redneck cracker,to get idiots to just bump their gums? Whats truly sad is most of you reeally don't understand what a critical position Afrikan people are in all over the globe. You probably don't want to believe this but at the rate we are going by the end of this century we maybe extint. If you doubt what I'm saying then check out the facts concerning the mental and physical state of Afrikan people. It ain't pretty but neither is the way we are living.

Can anyone be anymore of a thug? Someone shoots you and you refuse to tell the police because you want to make money. . .Hmmm, stupidity at it's best. I hope no one ever rapes a woman he knows while 500 people watch or stand by while a loved one is murdered in the streets because of their street cred. How much more stupid can you get?
